Bijou Hotel
Part of the Joie de Vivre group but certainly not a run of the mill hotel, the Hotel Bijou is a funky little boutique hotel with it’s own 1950’s style mini cinema showing two San Francisco based movies per night., cute little candy stall and retro phone booth. The hotel lobby is bright and bold with rich curtains decorating archways, soft velvet seating lining the walls and plush zigzag, multicoloured, carpeting livening everything up even more than the buttercup yellow, purple and burgundy décor already do! You can access the internet from the public areas.
Bedrooms are named after movies which were filmed in San Francisco and each room has original movie stills adorning the walls. Rooms are cheery with bright walls, multicoloured bedding and heavy blackout curtains. Furniture is pale. There are dual phone lines, with retro 1950’s style phones attached, cable TV and a full bath and shower in the bathroom.
A complimentary breakfast is served each day although there is no on site restaurant. A local diner provides room service. |
