Marriott Hotel
This beautiful 39 floor tower sets the skyline with it’s peach coloured tiers featuring seashell shaped windows. A stay at the Marriot is everything that it promises to be with plenty of facilities to indulge in. The hotel has an indoor pool as part of its extensive health club and an outdoor roof garden for a more leisurely way to relax. There’s a business centre, which includes a secretarial service, and 374 of the bedrooms are designed specifically with the business traveller’s needs in mind. The public areas are laden with modern art and it is worth taking the time to acquaint yourself with them.
Bedrooms are designed with warmth in mind, decorated in reds and ochres with mahogany coloured furniture. Like the public areas, rooms also have original art, mainly featuring San Francisco landmarks. As you would expect the rooms have a full compliment of facilities including dual line phones, cable TV with dedicated movie and news channels and internet connections. Bathrooms are finished in marble and stone.
There’s a number of places to dine/drink in the Marriot, including the cocktail lounge on the top floor which has spectacular views through it’s seashell windows. There’s also the 4th Street Bar & Grill which is the place to go for burgers and beers, and wide screen TV’s, or for a more refined experience there’s the Garden Terrace serving traditional Californian cuisine. Light snacks and coffees can also be picked up from City Blends. |
